Does anybody like Springfield Armory, particularly the Champion .45? I've had the Champion Operator and it was great but traded it like a fool, this is my most recent acquisition and I'm really liking it. It's hard to beat a 1911. I got a little range time in today and even though I'm a little rusty it's still a heck of a shooter. American Eagle 50 rds 230 Fmj @ 7 yards

Springfield provides a lot of gun for the money. I've got a few dedicated paper punchers built out of Springfield frames and slides. Bought a 9mm RO a few years back for a game gun. Installed the Cylinder and Slide 3 pound trigger. It is a plinking range favorite.

I've gotthe 4" EMP Championand it is my favorite 1911. It's a nine but it shoots and has a 10 round mag + 1 in the pipe! Yours is a nice example of the Champion series. Good shooting!
