apparently Jeff Bridges worked with retired Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson on this film. looks like it might be pretty good.

That looks great! Ben Foster and Chris Pine are also very good. Did anybody notice the old man in the bank was Buck Taylor? If you don't remember, he played Turkey Creek Jack Johnson in Tombstone. One of those guys, like Sam Elliot and several others, who was born for westerns!

Nick Nolte studied Joaquin too for his film Extreme Prejudice. I remember reading that Joaquin thought Nolte just impersonated him in the movie.

Nick Nolte studied Joaquin too for his film Extreme Prejudice. I remember reading that Joaquin thought Nolte just impersonated him in the movie.
now it's been a long time since I read "One Ranger" but if I remember correctly they became friends during the shoot and Nolte even offered to pay for the collage for one of Jackson's sons. once the movie was finished Jackson never heard from Nolte again.
