I was at the LGS on friday asking about the new SP 101 in 8 shot .22 and the store manager said that out of the last 6 they had 4 that had to be sent back to Ruger...Seems that they would shoot 1 or 2 cylinders ok than not work after that. He went on to say that Ruger sent 2 new guns in replacement...Anyone else have or heard of this? I was really in the want on this BUT?

I've had no issues with mine. It was purchased used and somebody had done the trigger. Not sure if that would make a difference.

Mine ran fine, but I have less than 200 rounds thru it. I put a spring kit in it and it stopped lighting off ammo, so I had to go back to full power springs. Certainly no issues with functionality so far. Except, I guess, that it has a roughly 15 pound trigger pull!

They aren't new. I had mine for over 3 years. Had Clements do a trigger job on mine and haven't had one issue with the revolver.
