What trigger do I need for the current production Old Army grip frames? Will the typical 3 screw trigger work or do I need the wide OM SBH trigger?

I bought a steel OM XR3-RED from numrich last month. It has the wide trigger slot.
Power Custom is selling wide OM triggers for $40 each. I talked to them last week about one for my ROA that I'm putting a brass dragoon on.

Thanks... Sitting here chugging my second pot of coffee and it hit me that a steel GF was just what these old ragged FT 44s of mine might need. While I am a true fan of a heavy gun I can't say that I'm not dazzled by the the fit and finish you can get with a steel grip frame..

New Model XR3-RED in carbon steel, complete with wide trigger slot. A homemade adaptor carries the OM trigger spring and plunger assembly. I fit the grip frame to the cylinder frame then sent the package to a East Coast 'smith. He did a OK job except for the polishing "divot" under the recoil shield ball. That doesn't effect the shootability one bit! I love shooting this original BKH-47 .44 mag! flatgate

I bought this trigger from Dave Clements. The original thin trigger will work fine too. It just leaves a gap.

An Old Model Super Blackhawk "conversion kit" trigger works, too. I simply take the Dremel and remove the transfer bar "arm".
