I wanted to give a big thumbs up to Walther's customer service. A bit over a week ago, while at the pistol range my boy was shooting my stainless Interarms US made Walther PPK/S .380 pistol. This has the hammer drop safety, which that day allowed the gun to fire a couple of times for my boy when he tried to put it on safe, not supposed to do that! He fortunately had it pointed safely when it happened so no damage or injuries. I tried it and at first it didn't happen but when I fired the last half box at sessions end it did it about 3 times to me as well. I sent Walther USA an email, told them what happened. Got an email back a couple days later with a number to call. I was told to get that gun back to them ASAP, a return was authorized and a FED EX label sent. A couple days after they got it back, it was fixed and shipped back all fixed up free of charge. They put several new parts in and noted each on the invoice which with shipping amounted to over $150, all on them. Mind you this is an older, US made model of pistol, not the current rendition and I would have paid for repairs if they asked, they didn't, they just fixed it. I consider this exemplary customer service considering the way some other makers handle it now. Hats off to Walther!!
