I'm a dedicated SA fan. But I'm not a snob in that I do like many DA revolvers as well. And it seems that lately,, a few more have been creeping into my haven. I just picked up a Redhawk, 45 Colt,, 4" boxed, that someone had sent to be converted to use moonclips & shoot 45 acp ammo as well. While it's used,,, someone did add some Wolff springs to it, & the originals were in the box as well. An overall nice package. I'll be trying it out this weekend. All this after a recent addition of another GP-100.

I feel your pain. Been adding a few Redhawks, Super Redhawks and three Smiths here lately.
Getting harder to claim my Single Action aficionado status.

I just picked up my Bisley Flattop 44 special, but I'm already thinking about a S&W 69...? Love the Bisley Flattop, but would also like the 69, besides IMHO a man (or woman) CAN'T HAVE too many 44's!!! BigBore44

The S&W 69 was one of the three Smiths I just added. After completely inspection of the gun, I decided it's what Freedom Arms would build if in the double action game.
The other two was a 25 Classic and a 24 CCH Heritage.

I'm the other guy. I started with DA revolvers and could not see a "NEED" for an old cowboy gun ,,,,,,,,till I got one. Nowadays the single actions are catching up pretty quick.

Well, I got out to my range a bit this afternoon. Here are the 3 DA's I've added to my collection in the last few weeks. A Ruger Match Champion, a Ruger GP-100, and the aforementioned Ruger Redhawk in 45 Colt & 45acp.

Nice... I started out with more double actions, only added a couple this last year... a 480 Alaskan, & a S&W 351 PD, in 22 Magnum... only single action in the last year was my Flat top 44 Bisley... so even though the single actions grew more the last couple years, looks like the doubles are 2 to 1 favorites over the last year... future purchases in the revolvers... hmmm... only thing I can think of realistically... I'd like a 480 single action... off topic... I may have to purchase a CZ in 40 S&W just for the heck of it ( I've got 1000 40 S&W cases & only shot them occasionally in my 610... but now I just down load either 10 mm or 10 mm Magnum... so I've got to find something to do with all those 40 S&W cases ) I suppose I could make jackets for 44 Magnum... but I have lots of 44 magnum bullets already... I guess I could buy another CZ

MagWm I have a couple 40's if'n you Just Have to get rid of them to make room for something else Yeah I think my next purchase might just be something "pocketable" (is that even a word?) I'm thinking one of the following: Kahr CW380 Ruger LCP Pro NAA Pug or Black Widow, 22 mag ..................................... I also like these, but they are definitely not as small and EZ to hide/pocket. Ruger LCR 327 (Most wanted) or 38 or even a 22 mag...? S&W 442 No Lock I guess that between my top group and bottom group, I'm talking apples & oranges sorta...?? ..................................... Now for the next purchase of a bigger iron it's along these lines: S&W 69 Bisley 44 or 45 Bisley SBH 480 or 454 (480 Most likely) I need to sell my SS SBH 44 to make Any of this happen though. Sorry for the Hi-Jack I got caught up in thinking out loud with my fingers BigBore44

"..thinking out loud with my fingers", I like that ! Am guilty of it too. If the next month goes well, the next addition here likely to be a DA also. Only a few DA's here now. My 44spec Bulldog seems to want a big brother. So maybe another 44mag or 480. An M69, a Mtn gun, or an Alaskan on the short list.

I "want" a single seven 5.5" and an adjustable sight stainless bearcat; but...
I handle them and keep going the double action route. I still want the single seven, but I ordered the Sp101 327. I like the bearcat, but have almost convinced myself the sw 317 makes more sense. Not sure why that is?
