While I'm still stuck in the Barsto and Kart barrel groove for my paper punchers the KKM products have a good reputation. I don't strickly follow the no cast/lead bullets rule in the original Glock barrel but I understand the need to closely watch the polygonally rifled bore for lead buildup.

Stan, since you don't follow the rules on Glock and cast I have a question. I'm sure the level of leading is dependant on hardness, lube, etc. as with all cast bullets in regular rifling. But, would I be safe if I didn't check for leading in a Glock until 100 or 200 rounds? If I got one, I'd like to be able to shoot a couple hundred rounds in a setting without stopping to clean the lead out, then cleaning it properly afterwards. In your experience is that attainable? Normally when you ask such a question elsewhere you get a barrage of "Don't shoot cast period" from all the 14 year olds who shot daddy's Glock once and are now an Internet expert and simply repost something they read elsewhere as the gospel, and have no actual experience.
Also any experience with gas checks or shake and bake bullets in the Glocks? Any better than regular plain base cast?

Glock says no. It would take a foolish person to tell you something different. Use some common sense. We know that identical barrels are not equal when it come to leading. Shoot a few and check.

Of course! I just wanted to know if I could get away with cast practice ammo for a G43 and save the jacketed stuff for carry without having to spend another $200 for a barrel that has traditional rifling. I'll load up a few hundred 124gr cast to try in the 43 the next time dad comes for a visit. I'll check it after each magazine and see if I can get some sort of an idea how it will work in the long run.
The ability to shoot cast was a big factor in choosing the XDs 4.0 in 45.

Met, fifteen or twenty years ago, a couple who competed in combat matches with a pair of Glock 21's. Husband & wife loaded .45 ACP with hard cast lead bullets, which they shot with aplomb through their Glock barrels. No leading and no problems. Near as I cou;ld tell, they didn't obsess over their Glock barrels, nor much of anything else beyond trigger time. The Glock should be prime for careful experiment with POWDER COAT cast bullets. My G21 absolutely loves powder coated Lee 200 gr SWC's and Power Pistol. Ran powder coated 180's in my G34 also.

How do you like that trigger? I've yet to feel one I think is worth the extra $$ Not worth the asking price (IOW they're a great improvement but over priced) or just not enough of an improvement at all compared to polishing the fcg and changing the disconnect?

You make your choice and pay the money.. FWIW I'd never have paid retail... I got all the parts for 50% of retail..

Both. Some are mushy, but light. Some are crisp, but not that much lighter for me to bother with.
