No Bowen rear sight, and the retaining screw for the bolt block looks nothing like the one in my Bowen Nimrod--or any other Bowen Nimrod I've seen. Almost looks like a hollow roll-pin. Should be interesting to see how the auction goes.

I took the picture with the best shot of the bolt block and enlarge it, looks like a hex head screw.

The same seller also has a Bowen 50 special listed.

But looking at Bowen's book, published in 2001, the bolt bearing block retaining screw is the same as on my '14 build, and his sight was in use in '01 as well.

Older gun before he used the slotted screw for the bearing block. Same principle just not as clean looking.

A good clear shot of the left side of the cylinder frame might make bidders more comfortable. Don't remember Bowen rounding the butt like that. I'd ask to see the build sheet from Bowen myself..

It is an earlier Bowen build like Zeus said.
Even the lettering for BCA is the old style.
Hamilton might have done this one by himself.
AND...it's a "save queen"
God help me....

And it has an "straight un-tampered barrel" too.
