She is a DD. She's one I bred. Surprised anyone spotted that about her. I just confess that owning my first DD has made me a bit of a fanatic about the breed. What is the kennel name? I am also a fan of the SBH Bisley 480. .... you sir, have good taste! -Freeze

Mike Schell is a good guy. Was in the same running group with him at the 2013 Armbruster. He had a lot of nice dogs he had bred there that year.

Is it VDD registered? I had a DD and it was the best dog one could hope for. A fantastic hunter - fur, feather, or water.

I have a female wirehair and looking for another. She was out of a litter that wasn't supposed to happen, thus no papers. None the less, lucky me. She is at my side no matter what. They are few and far between in this part of the country. Now for you gents in the know of this breed, have you ever heard or seen a slick coated one? I ran across a guy that has a female that has zero whiskers, looks like a German shorthair to me. I have been around a half dozen of these and never seen a shorthair trait come out. Only odd one was the first one of the first ones I saw, blonde as blonde can be. Jeff

I have seen a few slicks. My first one had a slick in his litter. I see it pretty commonly out of Oechtringer Forst lines. The Draht guys have actually identified a gene for beards now and can run a DNA test to see if a dog has the potential to throw slicks.
