Those look, Grrreat!!! Man, I really like the looks of them. Was that a group buy mold, or can it be bought anytime? I have to try me some of these! Does the mold have a couple style pins or only the HP design? Thanks... I think? Ray

Yeah love that close up! Those look Awesome... No fun funds right now, but I'll look into it some time... I'll probably be too late like usual...
Please let me know how these shoot though... They just look accurate and just what I'm lookin for for my SRH...
BigBore44
Does anyone sell these commercially that you know of? Even in a 44 cal?

I have that mold...well not *that* mold..."this is my mold, there are many like it, but this one..." Anyway...it has been very accurate in all 3 of my 45 Colt revolvers loaded to "tier 1" SAA pressures. Not too mention, it's just a durn good looking bullet. ;-)

Does the mold have a couple style pins or only the HP design? Thanks... I think? Ray Run over to the Cast Boolit site! The manufacturer of that mould posted about a month ago that he has some in stock. Go here: castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?240343-MiHec-RCBS-45-270-SAA-Initial-Tests and scroll to the last post. Shoot him a PM and you're in business! I've been using that same mould for a couple of years now and decided I HAD to shoot something with that large HP. I cast mine from 70/30 lead/WW and they drop at 265 grs. Loaded over 16.5 grs. of 2400 and fired from my 5 1/2" Uberti Bisley they run around 1030-1040 fps and shoot wonderfully at 50 yds. The first victim was a javelina from a little bunch that hangs out on my place. Tok him at a hair over 45 yds. No bullet expansion evident, but the bullet worked. Toward the end of season a spike I'd been hunting finally showed up and was victim #2. He was 48 yds. out and I had to hold on him for a good while before I had a shot. As is usually the case when this happens, I relaxed my grip and hit him a little higher in the shoulder than intended, but he fell like a piano had been dropped on his head. I actually recovered the bullet from under the skin on the off side shoulder: Odd as it may sound, I don't think I'll be using HP's anymore due to reduced penetration. I'm sure a solid SWC would've sailed right through the buck. Cholla

Those bullets in front of 9.0 of Power Pistol are incredibly accurate.

Cholla.... for the size of your deer and its presentation, the range, and the revolver, you needn't ask for better performance. David Bradshaw

I agree. Perfect expansion and the deer looks like he's perfectly dead. I don't know that I wouldn't try that one again. I like that Uberti...
