Has anyone here ever loaded rimfire ammo. More specifically, has anyone ever pulled the bullet in a 22 mag and loaded it with something else. I am quite aware of the potential hazards of yanking the bullet out of a rimfire case.

Seems like I remember reading about such an activity back in the 80s. Don't know anyone who actually did it. The guys who attempted it may all be blind with no fingers at this point in time. I'd think that if one needed such a cartridge the 22 Hornet would be a much better choice.

Funny timing, just read this thread a day or two ago, then found a C.H.Kadels catalog in the mail here. They seem to be Mil-surp, and other outdoor stuff like Sg and cheaper than dirt, etc.. On page 19 they have a .22RF reloading kit for 79.99. Try www.CHKADELS.com

Just to divulge my background I have loaded millions of rounds working for ammunition company's .But I have never loaded rimfire. But after seeing the old machines that load them I am not concerned with the bullet reloading process.
