been pc ing bullets for about six months now and am more than satisfied with my results. the 32s were never a prob. Because I don t load anything lead faster than 4 gr.unique in the h& r. The 357 is the cal I'm happiest with cause I had leading problems at anything close to max velocities. I got around that with gas checks on 358156 but I'm a tightwad and always looked for a better way. I found it.Its pc and the Lyman sizer sits unused.Question is how long after casting can I pc?I cast 357 swc s tonight as I was out of ammo.By the way- long time lurker here.mucho knowledge here..Thanks guys

As soon as my bullets have cooled I dump them in the tumbler & coat them for about 20 minutes to get a good coating. Then dump them into a collander & give them a good shake to knock off any excess paint onto some old newspaper, this goes back into the tumbler for the next batch. Then just place them on the non stick foil, shiny side down without double stacking, no need to stand them up but you can if you want more bullets on the tray. Now place them in your toaster oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, you can go a minute or two longer but any longer than that is just wasting power & you might melt you bullets if there's a void in the powder. Now, just take them out & let them cool, size them & load. On several of the bigger bullets I spray mine with Hornady One Shot Case Lube, this helps them go through the sizer die, especially the Star sizer. Don't want to bend the handle & the bullets are .001"- .0015" bigger after coating so it does take a little extra force to run them through. You don't want to stick one or bend your handle. If you do get a really tight bullet in your star, remove the die, drill a hole through the center of the bullet with a drill bit & then you can easily push the stuck bullet out of the die without damage.

Mr. Thompson can you pc bullets that have been sitting say for a year? I know this info has been posted before but I'm fixing to load up some 45 and I'm going to try it. Thanks for the good question labnut.
