Was hoping to try out some of those tracer bullets I bought at the last gun show... but looks like we've got fire warnings, with the windy and dry conditions... guess there is always next weekend

You are correct about tracer bullets & dry weather conditions! Several of us were at the NRA Center in Raton, New Mexico a few years back & some one started shooting some tracers up on the rocky, dry hillside. Pretty soon a nice little fire had spread & a whole bunch of us were running up the mountain to get it contained before it really took off. Took about 45 minutes but we got it just before the fire trucks showed up. Gotta be careful with tracers!

Always makes me think of the time I was ducking hunting. A couple of guys across from us in another blind, I knew both of them, found this out after it was all over. One thought it would be funny to put one of those bird bomb shells in his pards gun when he got up to take a leak. Ducks came in and the guy fired. A lot of noise and a lot of fire, wish I had a picture lol. This was a few minutes into legal shooting time. Caught about two acres of cat tails on fire. I was in a boat, we snatched decoys and got the heck out. Spooked every duck for miles! Me and my hunting bud at the time went to town and went to the diner. Place was packed and wanted to lynch the idiots responsible for it. Unbeknown at the time, the two guys responsible for it were setting right in the middle of the place agreeing to lynch the idiots that starterd the fire. I see both of them on occasion and always ask if they are still arsonist lol. Jeff
