Yeah. There weren't radii like that on Johns sights.

Does Linebaugh routinely checker the hammer?

Saw that and decided no need for another family bidder so we will just watch this one from the side. Or maybe try to trade it away from the winner if I can catch them at a weak moment!

I'm out. There are few (if any) guns that are worth north of $3k to me...especially when I have that base covered. Of course, that could be a bargain down the road - who knows...

I've reached my limit too with the recent purchase of a nice S&W barreled stainless Blackhawk 45 Long Colt, hopefully someone here will win out though

please explain the value of this gun...does not appear to be a shooter. Is it just long term investment waiting for Linebaugh to pass and then like Ferrari all of his productions will go up in value.

Well if I owned it I sure would shoot it. The value for me in something like this like many of the Linebaugh or Bowen guns is the time saved. I have heard of some just incredibly long wait times for a Linebaugh gun not sure about Bowen. But think about it if you can get your gun a year or more faster how much would it be worth to you? I think for some its a very important factor in why they pay what they pay. As far as the value going up if Linebaugh passes. I am sure there will be some but there are others doing the same work at the same level so its not like you cant get a gun like it anymore.

And because if you wanted to order this gun from John it would cost you over $3800 plus the base gun and the wait time. Many feel that this exact configuration of a 5 sot 45 Colt is THE most adaptable and functional of the big bores revolvers. This includes Hamilton Bowen along with a few others.
