I have no dog in this, & don't know the seller, but.... I looked at that gun last month at a show & as near as I can remember, It was perfect! I don't recall seeing a blemish anywhere. I haven't handled a lot of Johns work, but this one was as well done as all the ones I've seen.

The dots on each side of the gun number. When John went back to MO in mid 90s, he started doing that to keep up with which ones he made there since his stamp still said Cody at the time. If there are two dots, it was made in Maryville, MO.
