Thinking of loading some .32 mags, anyone used the Lee 90gr. swc micro band mold with liquid alox ?. I understand you don't need to size the bullets with the micro band and alox. How fast does one dare push these bullets, I'm thinking I'd like to stay in the 850-900 fps range.

I shoot lots of .32's through my various revolvers (Ruger SP 101, S&W 631, S&W 31, S&W 16-4). However, I mostly shoot a Custom Group Buy 100 gr Keith that is lubricated normally through my Star press. In fact, I have shot a LOT of the Lee WC (no longer offered) that had the micro bands for LLA but I ran them through the Star - they shot very well.
I have friends that use LLA for most of their loads and are quite happy with them. You shouldn't have any problem running the LLA bullets to 850-900 fps. Most of my shooting is done with that velocity level although I have chronographed my heavy loads (100 gr Keith) at 1200 fps in the heavier frame guns). Ruger Single Six, SP 101, and the S&W 16-4 with .32 H&R Mag cases and an appropriate load of H110.
For target and small game loads (very effective small game loads) I typically use S&W Long cases and an appropriate charge of 231.
Whether you use .32 H&R Mag cases or the .32 S&W long cases (with an appropriate charge for the specific case) this is a most useful and just down right fun cartridge to shoot.

My FFL uses LLA to lube his .45-70 bullets he runs at ~1800 fps or so and reports no leading. These aren't Lee bullets designed to use LLA, he just likes the lube and it seems to work OK for him.

I cast that bullet with wheel weights and it comes out at 94grs with a .315 diameter. I lube them with LLA in a plastic baggie. I get about 1000fps with 4.2gr of Unique. I use harder commercial bullets with H110.
You don't have to size them but I do size mine with the Lee sizer to .314.
I also use the Lee TL bullet in my .41 magnum which comes out at 215gr and a diameter of .412. I don't size these and load them with 8.0gr of Unique.

I lubed and sized the Lee SWC TL 32 down to .310 ( and lubed again with alox) and shot them in my .30 carbine, Blkhwk, and automag. I'm sure I was pushing them past the sound barrier useing Blue dot. They shot good,no leading and a cheap load....
