Our continent is called the "New World", but in places like that, feels OLD, it has a presence of it's own that no city has. Roughly quoted per my left-handed memory, by L.L'Amour, " Cities are for the making of money, the high up hills, are purely for the soul". Amen Louis. Amen.

Roughly quoted per my left-handed memory, by L.L'Amour, " Cities are for the making of money, the high up hills, are purely for the soul". Amen Louis. Amen. There are random graves around this country and I'm certain many that have been lost to nature. When I was bear hunting last year the guide pointed out two graves that were from a mother and daughter. Evidently it was from the early 1900s at least. The husband was a known drunk and he went to town and went on a two-week bender. Evidently the wife and daughter froze to death in the cabin in a snowstorm while he was staying drunk in town. The people in town ran him out. The two lone graves are in the middle of a vast expanse . There's a family member that comes up periodically just to clean up around the graves and ensure that they are maintained. Different times.

Kevshell, that couldn't exist at my house but it's pretty. That's why it's at my mother's. I grew up in a house where we weren't allowed into the living room separate from the family room. As in don't even make tracks on the carpet. She keeps her things nice.

Lots of small gift shops on the Delmarva Peninsula carry wood carvings of waterfowl, birds. Popular down into the Outer Banks, am sure too. Nice carving !
