That is some fine work there. I came back to look at that knife and sheath several times and appreciated a different detail each time. Thanks for showing it.

Usually I make knives by stock removal, but this month I've been on a real hand-forging kick. Finished this early American hunting/skinning knife yesterday with a rustic finish.

"Back in the day", often 3 blades packed. A big blade for fighting/camp knife chores, then a knife for handling game or fish, skinning. A patch knife too, often hung around neck or sheath built into the possibles bag strap. Some patch knives were from recycled scissors. You can see that lineage if you look at Cold Steels Trout and Bird knife and a larger version they make for small game . I have one of each of them. Think Marbles and such made versions years ago, amongst others.

Repurposing this humidor as a rust bluing box for small parts. Should give me a tad more climate control.

I for one would love to see a how-to thread pertaining to how you use your box in the bluing process. I never knew this stuff was something a guy could "easily" do at home. Seeing the bits you've made has really given me a hankering to pick up a couple old beater sixguns that I could further ruin with a file and a dream. Lord knows I've wasted plenty more on far less admiral pursuits...

Jumper cables? Who needs jumper cables when you have underfolding AKs?
