Just got these in from John Culina, made from antique ivory Micarta from Sheffield's Supply. They're his N-frame "coke" profile magnas--a bit thinner than factory magnas and very comfortable. I had him make me two pairs for use on my M27-2 3.5" and my M624, both with Tyler-T Grips. I now have five pairs of John's grips in Micarta, and have had nearly a dozen pairs in various woods over the past few years. He's an excellent craftsman and his turn around time is fantastic. His website is culinagrips.com Note that the color difference between the two pictures reflects different light. The M27-2 was in a bit of shade so the light is cooler, rendering the grips more white. Under the same light, the grips are identical.

The front sight was replaced with a Patridge blade with a large, flat-faced gold bead. Very fast setup. It also lowered the collector value which is how I was able to afford this 3.5" M27. Prices for clean specimens are getting ridiculous.

The speed of delivery is directly proportional to the "niceness" of the final recipient! I ordered a set over a year ago! Just kidding Bushog!

How nice, those grips in that material just bumps them up at least two rungs in "coolness". Your firewood background is original and contrasts nicely with the overall smoothness of the metal and grips of the Smiths. Well done, both on the acquistion of guns and grips and the recording of them.

I ordered a set over 6 months ago...... John makes his grips in runs of a single type, so if you order right before he begins a run you can get them quickly. I ordered a few pairs of N-frame target grips last year right before he began a production run of that type and I had them in about 4 weeks. These magnas took about four months, but I knew that going in as he told me last October that he wouldn't be doing a run of Magnas until February. He's upfront about his projected turn around time, and over the last few years I've found his projections to be accurate. And John communicates; I've yet to wait more than a day to hear back from him. On the other hand, I've been waiting since October 2014 for a pair of grips from Keith Brown. My last email to him was 8 months ago and I haven't received a reply.

Not complaining....
His wife replied to me and said they were quite busy on the home front so I'm patiently waiting.
Thanks to you I've got some of that micarta!
