Just spoke to Sharon. As some of you guys said this is an old issue. She said that it was not really a recall. Some people had issues that were dependent on how you reloaded, cases used and such, and if they had had issues,Winchester would replace them. This only pertained to Large Rifle primers. She also very politely reminded me to not believe every thing you get off the internet.YA THINK! That was my situation, LR. They took back the lots I had and gave me back more than I sent back. Sharon was very good about it.

I called yesterday and spoke to Christian. As far as I know there is no official recall, only some individual complaints on various lots from customers. I have nine 1000 primer bricks of large and small pistol primers and read off the 9 lot numbers to her. She said there is no problem with the small pistol primers but I had one lot of large pistol primers, DKL816G, that she asked me to return because it was close to another lot that had some complaints. She will be sending me some shipping material and set up a time for pickup. Instead of replacing the brick of 1000 primers, Winchester will issue me a check for $50 to cover the replacement. I thought that was very good service from Winchester. They stand behind their products. And after many years of using Winchester components, I have NEVER had a problem with any of them.
