Went looking for a box of rifle ammo, and came home with 2 lbs. of W231! Haven't seen that on the shelf for some time. Got another # of H4831 and the ammo, a box of bullets and was nearly $200 out the door. Oh well, its only money. Is 231 finally hitting shelves around the country?

Got 2 pounds last weekend as well, first I had seen in a very long time. I'm in the UP. If I could come up with some 2400 and Reloader 7 I'd be all set.

I'm pretty set on powder, but I'd still like to try Longshot, Power Pistol, TAC, and a few others. Oh, and WST in 45 auto.
On .22 LR, I refuse to pay $40, $50 (plus shipping!) and more for a brick of plinking ammo. I'd rather shoot my 32's for those prices.

My LGS had lots of Longshot, TAC and lots of others, but no Power Pistol, a powder I really like but still have a half can of it. I have yet to try Longshot either.

I snuck into a gun shop today and studied his powder selection. I found a fair selection of Alliant & Hodgdon powders. There was; 8 lb jug of Titegroup at $139.95 4 lb jugs of Universal at $99.95 a jug 4 lb jugs of Lil-Gun at 96.95 8 lb jugs of Lil-Gun for $176.95 a jug 1 lb bottles of Power Pistol $26.95 each 1 lb bottles of LongShot for $28.95 each
There were other powders,, both in 4 & 8 lb jugs & several in 1 lb containers. But,, no Unique or HS-6. Luckily,,, I have plenty of both.

djw, That's interesting, all Alliant products have been extremely scarce in the western UP including the slow burning magnum rifle powders. I've looked at several shops in Houghton, Marquette, and Escanaba. Likewise with Accurate powders but they've always been spotty around here. I have been fortunate in getting a good supply of IMR and Hodgdon powders.
