The 44 Caliber Wadcutters from Matt's Bullets shot so well that they caused some mixed emotions.
I mean I was really glad when they shot so well in my little Lipsey's Ruger 44 Special Flattop. But, the fact that it outshot my FA97 45 Colt didn't sit so well with me.
Not only did the FA costs 4x as much, but the 45 Colt is my favorite revolver round.
So this morning I ordered 1,000 of the same bullet in 45 caliber, sized .452".
I can only hope these shoot as well as their 44 caliber counterpart. It will make me a happy man if they do.

What load/powder did you use? I'm thinking I may have to order some of these.

Haven't loaded for the 45 yet. In the 44 Special I used Unique. Also ordered some hardened 44 caliber bullets that I will use 2400 with.

I think I'll have to give these a try, the weight and profile seem perfect for the medium framed Ruger.

Absolutely my thoughts on my smaller guns.
Flattop Rugers in 44 Special & 45 Colt, FA97 in 45 Colt & Bulldog Target 44 Special just to name a few.
Looking at their design is misleading. They fly true and hit like a brick.

What's the diff between a WFN with a huge meplat and a wadcutter, hole punch wise?

I've shot the Rim Rock wadcutters with much success in my .45 Colts and .45 AR mountain gun.
There is a load for them in the Handloader that introduced/tested the flat top .45/.45ACP.
Can't remember which one....

This is the link for the 45 Wadcutters. I meant the 44`s that knocked your socks off. What weight were those?

Matt is quick to fill customers orders. I placed my order during the early hours 2-19-16. Today I received an email with a tracking number, my bullets have shipped.
That my friends is service.
