Bought the 3" GP with adjustable sights in 38 Spl because Ruger was "never" going to build the 3" Adjustable sighted 357 again. I know, I know I bought the story and the gun. Anyway while wanting a 357 3" Adjustable sighted GP I sent the gun to Dave Clements for a rechamber and an action job and front sight. Took four months and I am shooting it and learning Ruger DA. Very smooth action, and the front sight is one of the best handgun sights I've ever focused on. I'll keep this one! Carrying it in a Galco Combat Master and shooting 158grain JHP 357s in it!

The GP100 is a great platform. A 3" adjustable sight would be nice!

Awhile back I was thinking of having David cut down my 6" GP100 to 3" like yours there. The only other things I wanted to do was have him slabside the bbl, and give her a trigger job... Good lookin shootin iron you have there. I hope she shoots as good as it looks Don't forget a range report when you get to shoot it, please. BigBore44

That's a nice gun. I've seen & handled a couple of GP100 Match Champions & those are nice guns too. Can we get a range report? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies! I've had some familial situations that has kept me from the range. Will be going next week. I haven't had time to develop a load for this weapon but I'll start work on load development. Be shooting some generic 38s and 357s. Will post some photos! I had an old Galco Combat Master for a 3" L frame. The Ruger is too heavy for this style. Short bbl and ultra high ride, even with a good gunbelt, the weapon is top heavy and wants to flop around.
So I'm looking for a concealment rig where the cylinder is level with the belt and the weapon will be held in against the body. Pictures soon!
