Took the new 480 out, along with my Bisley 44 Mag, and my Freedom Arms 454. The 44 and 454 shoot great with boring regularity, the FA put 5 shots into one big hole at 30 yards with a 290gr 45-270SAA over 13.0 ofHS6, and the 44 shows great promise with both the 305gr Lee and the Nosler 300gr seconds I bought, both bullets shot to almost the same POI with 300-MP pushing them along. The 480 with the Hunter's supply bullets and HS6 were frustrating, but I am 99% certain it is the bullet, the worst of them were keyholing today at 30 yards, I was able to recover the ones that keyholed, but couldn't dig deep enough to recover ones that flew straight. Was able to make hits on softball sized rocks at 50-60 yards with the ones that were completely filled out.

You do have to balance the bullets with the powder etc. Once you find the right combination,, it'll make you smile!

Yes, I love that the Freedom Arms is so predictable, it is hard to find a load that doesn't shoot well in it, from 250s to 350s. The Ruger Bisley 44 Mag is almost the same, hoping once I have bullets that are decent the SBH 480 will follow suit.
