Pretty tough movie, good dialogue, few odd firearms to boot. I'll have to chew on it a bit and watch it again to pick up on all the subtle wit and comedy as it was full of it. Some of the firearms used: www.imfdb.org/wiki/Bone_Tomahawk

That scene towards the end was pretty nasty wasn't it?

Pretty tough!
My wife and I finished watching it at close to 1 a.m. and we went to the deck for a few minutes. We hadn't been out there long when a coyote started up howling about 50 yards away. She couldn't take it. She went back and stood at the door waiting for me to come in. I couldn't help but laugh at the look on her face when she heard it right after finishing the movie. She spent about half the time at the end of the movie looking away and asking if it was safe to look again.
We have a few coyotes at the deer camp that get cranked up right at dark so hopefully when we have some guests from out of town next week I can let them watch it between the morning and evening hunt, then wait till about 45 minutes after sunset to go get them from the stand.

I told my wife about it and couldn't even get her to watch it!
I was sorely disappointed with the new Star Wars but really look forward to The Hateful 8 and The Revenant.

I told my wife about it and couldn't even get her to watch it! I was sorely disappointed with the new Star Wars but really look forward to The Hateful 8 and The Revenant. I saw the Revenant last night with the Mrs. I thought it was pretty good. Despite his left-leaning idiot-syncracies, Leonardo DiCaprio plays his part very well. It's a long movie, but it kept me watching to see what the heck was going to happen next. Talk about a rough life, 1820s was tough living back then, especially in the unsettled west. There was a "regular" there last night and I asked him about Hateful 8 and he thought it sucked; told me not to waste my money.

Rented Bone Tomahawk from Red Box tonight. I liked the movie, but was taken aback by the gruesome violence.

I was really looking forward to Bone Tomahawk after reading some reviews and overall I liked it. In some ways the attitude of it kind of reminded me of "Seven Men from Now" (which is a very different movie of course). I feel sorry for anybody that took a date to it now knowing what they were in for! One particular scene really kind of stunned me for a few minutes, but after all it is a horror movie, albeit a western one.
I have not watched Hateful 8 yet but I hope to this weekend. So far all of my friends have strongly disliked or hated it from one reason or another. Anybody that goes to a Tarintino movie should be expecting most of the things that they were complaining about, so I am trying to keep an open mind for the moment.
