$600...Dollars? You paid WAY tooooo much! I feel sorry you got taken to the cleaners!!! I'm in the Christmas spirit though and would like to give you $600+$50 =$650 back just so you to can have a Merry Christmas after that horrible deal
Congrats to you Sir! You done Very Well on that deal. Is it the 20" or 24" bbl. version?
I have two of the 24" 1894 Cowboys in 44mag and they shoot great with about everything I have tried in them from Win White box 240's, Fed 240 JSP & JHP, 200gr XTP handloads to, 300gr CP WFNPB cast handloads.
I also have the 1895 Cowboy 45-70 & 1895GS and it gobbles up 430gr Tombstones like candy All the folks I know really like them and praise the accuracy of them.
I hope you enjoy your new Cowboy and please be sure'n post pics and a range report when you get her home...

I would like to find a 45 Colt Cowboy marlin some day when I get a few bucks saved up. I have one of the cowboy octagon barreled 41s at Ben Forkins getting the butt stock through bolt, some action work, the wood on the forearm getting thinned down and some Turnbull coloring on the main frame. Once it gets done and home, I will start watching for a 45 version.

From The Marlin Forum regarding 1894's in 45 Colt.
"Ok for the record.
16" barrel are the 1894LTD [Very Hard to find] 18" barrel are the Cabelas [Hard to find] 2009 20" barrel are the CB smooth wood [easier than the 24"to find] 24" barrel are the CB checker wood [not that hard to find]
I'm lucky to have 3 of the 4 out there. The 20" CB gets the more used out of the group."

Alukban-"I've got a 16"
How do you like the 16" compares to the longer length barrels?
