The bullet sizer die I have for .45-70 is .457,I was wondering if it's possible to ream it or hone it out to .459 with no ill effects?
Thanks!

No, they are too hard. I tried lapping one once and decided it was much easier to buy the right size.

Thanks Kurt,I haven't been able to locate a .459 anywhere. I know they used to have them, but I'm not finding any.

It is possible to ream or more likely polish one out .001 to .002 more. I did this with a .410 die to .411. Take a brass rod (best) or a close fitting wooden dowel and wrap very fine emery or silicone carbide paper around it. Run the rod and paper into the die with enough rod sticking out both ends to grasp onto. Roll this up and down your thigh for several minutes and check. Wear some old pants.
To check your die use either a pin gauge or run a bullet through it and measure the bullet. It's a little time consuming but it's free. This is talked about occasionally on the castboolits forum.
