My 1895 seems to hang where the bolt comes out and starts to push the hammer back. Does anyone know what causes this?
Thanks!
Nevermind: Took it apart and found what appeared to be melted plastic stuck in the ejector slot. Have no idea where that came from. Flitzed and worked the lever for ten minutes or so,cleaned it ,greased it and it's now quite smooth..

If you are using Hornady leverevelution plastic tips they can cause gun to jamb on fully opening the action to chamber the round which I believe is a bit on the long side. My 1895 has this problem only with that round.

Fortunately I cannot afford such bullets and have not experienced that issue. We po'boys use cast lead. . It's curious why something called leverevelution would cause a lever action to jam. Have you contacted Hornady about this?
