Anyone want to guess what that will sell for? Bet it doesn't sell for opening bid, that is for sure.

nolongcolt, Basically, yes and yes. I think Elgin Gates' Supermag cases were 5 thousands longer than the 357 Maximum cases, but that kinda gets lost in the round off. Think extra long 44 mag. Tim

Me thinks it is a 5 shot even though the ad says 6. Looking at bolt notches and chamber position on multiple pictures is what causes me to think this. Also, I can not see Hamilton going to the work to make a custom 6 shot cylinder for a round like this.

Also, I can not see Hamilton going to the work to make a custom 6 shot cylinder for a round like this. I figured it was a 5 shot also at first, but in picture #3 you can see the bolt notch is over the chamber meaning 6 shot. If it were a 5 shot, the bolt notch would fall between the chambers.

I used to own this gun, it is a six shooter. When I found it on gunbroker, it was still marked 357 maximum on the receiver, had a super Blackhawk hammer, functional, but unfinished. Hamilton re-marked the receiver, put in a bisley hammer, and had Turnbull do the case colors. A very nice revolver! Kelye @ Belt Mtn
