I have not hunted with them but about 15 years ago I tested every commercial heavy cast bullet I could find in two 41 magnums. One an S&W four inch 57 and the other a six and a half inch Ruger Blackhawk. I tested each bullet with three powders, H110, 2400 and IMR4227 and fired every group from a Ransom Rest at 25 yards. My goal was to find which heavy cast bullet I liked the best and then have a mold made for that bullet.
The Penn 295 was one of the most accurate bullets of the ten different bullets I tried with most 5 shot groups going one inch with a few slightly under that.

Mart since you did such extensive testing could you recommend a 240-250gr bullet? Looking for one short enough to fit in an FA 97
