I'm shootin a 9.5" 44 SRH, and will also have a SRH 454 soon.
What type setup would be best to use if I want to switch between scope and irons?
I've looked at the Warne QD rings and the Burris, ""Ruger to Weaver"" style bases for use with Weaver/Piccatinny style rings.
Which are the best to have it return (closest) to Zero?? If I use the standard Ruger Rings, can they come off & on and return to zero??
Any and All input is Greatly Appreciated!
Thanks BigBore44

The Leupold QRW rings work great for me, on a rifle. I suspect they would also work on your SRH.

Ruger's rings are very good. Clamp on, clamp off with a big flathead screw driver.

Hi Whit, I have a set of the Ruger rings with a 4x Leupold on my SRH 44 now but, I was unsure if I take it off and remount if it would return to zero?? Being so close to deer season now I didn't want to start monkeying with it and not be able to get to the range to try it out... I got started with this one too late in the game to really try out different scopes and what not. It's shooting nice as is and I don't want to try my luck... LOL Do they "generally" return to same POI?? Thanks BigBore44

Uh, the Ruger rings??? I've also had good luck with the Leupold Ruger-type rings. The Weigand base for the .454 is going to replace the rear sight anyway.
