Nice job ! You're smack in the middle of the velo window Matt mentions for this bullet.

I'm all for the heavies But, I also think that trying to turn something's into a Magnum can get you into trouble. The 44 spl is just that "Special". It's a fine caliber and pleasant to shoot, but imho should not be pushed beyond its limits. Just my .02 cents and I'm Not trying to throw rocks here Best BigBore44 The man in your avatar pushed the limits of the 44 special on a regular basis. In fact, his working load of a 250 SWC at about 1200fps was a limit pusher for sure. The 25k loads, in a Ruger Blackhawk of any vintage, do not really push any limits, are thoroughly tested, and absolutely safe. The whole reason for the flattop Bisley in 44 Special was to give consumers a modern Keith number 5. Keith's original Frankenstein Colt devoured countless rounds of the Keith load. The Rugers are much stronger and more durable than a colt could dream to be. Yes, the 44 mag exists now, but so what? I love the compact size and versatility of my Ruger 44 specials. Matt

Matt Yup, point taken. It's the internet and I meant no harm. Just showing the cautious side, not that that's as adventurous and exciting. I don't blame you one bit for liking the FTBH. It's on top of my list... BigBore44
