Is any one here using this powder, Power Pro 300-MP ? Starting to see data for it. Seems to be promising a bit higher velo's for 357/41/44mags.. Maybe something to try next summer.

Its supposed to be the same powder as H110, but in my limited use of it I think its a tad slower. Mileage may vary.

Power Pro 300 MP is slower than 296/110. Brian Pearce wrote an excellent article a few years back. Article is in Wolfe's Handloader or Rifle. Early tests indicated use of standard pistol primers gave best results with less shot to shot velocity variation. Mag pistol primers were not recommended until very large charge weights. 300 MP was not as sensitive as 296/H110 to pressure spikes when compressed.
I believe it is formulated at the old Olin, St. Marks powder facility. In fact it might be a canister version of WC297. That is just a guess on my part. In fact most of this info is from what I remember from Pearce's article.
If I find the article. I will do follow up post. I would guess somebody on the forum knows the mag and issue.

I loaded 300mp and a 360 Keith for about 1250 in a 5.5 45. Load notes say WOOF. Don't know what else you would need....
