I picked up this CVA Hunter from Bud's about 3 months ago for $165 on a close-out sale. I thought it would make a nice brush gun with cast bullets. At 50 yards it posts groups in a ragged hole about 1/2 - 3/4" inch groups. For a 6 pound rifle, it's quite a value. That was with factory Hornady 200 grain FTX ammo. I tried the Hunter 190 grain cast bullet and it turned in one-hole groups at 25 yards, and the first 2 shots at 50 yards but then delivered a shotgun pattern. Lots of unburned powder with the AA4350. Have some H4895 to try next. If I see another CVA under $200, I'll probably have to get it!

I bought one in 300 Blackout, less than $200.
1" at 100 yards with no recoil. Very good deal for a small investment.

I've been eyeballing the Scout in 44 magnum on line. Haven't seen one in person yet.
