Stan, my employee [ have posted pics here before of his daughters and the bears they shot ] went out for moose last week.....most everything went wrong, 4 wheelers quit, bombardier broke down, his buddy broke his wrist, etc but they finally got to the old family cabin way back there in an argo ......and an hour and half later things started to go right : this is a heck of a moose......6 brow tines on each side. delivered over 700 pounds [ not boned out ] to the butcher

An excellent moose there.
An Alaskan moose is one of my "dream hunt" critters. I know it takes work,,, but I'd love every bite.

I don't know how to measure B&C but that bull looks spectacular. Standing it had to have been most majestic.

mart,,, I've heard that comment enough to know that if I ever get the chance,,, I'm going to be with a few others who can "help" me pack it out. A good friend killed an Alaskan moose several years ago & gave me some meat. Some of the best I've ever had.

I've dressed out three by myself. It's not so bad once you get over the shock of having that large an animal down. I always carry a Hitchmaster rope pulley. It's a packable block and tackle made in two sizes. A pretty innovative little tool and I've used the small one to roll moose over by myself. Works wonders.
