Well, as many of you know, I got married last month. It was a great wedding and cruise to Alaska. Now we are moving the stuff into a new home. We now have almost all of her stuff moved into the new home and I haven't been in my old home for quite a while. I haven't got any of my reloading and shooting stuff moved yet. It appears that I will have to go to the good will store and the landfill to visit my stuff from here on. Is this called progress or what is it called. I'm not complaining. It will come sooner or later to get the shooting stuff here, but first things first. I even only had two squirrel safaris this year. They were during the gathering we had in June. Haven't popped a cap since. Yes I will need sixshot to teach me how to shoot again when I get my stuff here. I have a trip to Maryland in October. Maybe, just maybe I'll be able to get Tank to teach me how to fine tune my shooting then. I might have some stuff moved by then. If anyone wants to help move my gun safe to the new house, feel free to sign up soon so I will know who I can count on to help. I thought that the Paul bearers would move me, then they could move my stuff. Now it looks like I'll get the stuff moved then go see the mortician. Thanks for listening to my story here. I'll be busy again, so see you all later, if I get time to get on here again. Steve. Aka Can'tshoot.

Congrats to you and your Bride! Cruise to Alaska? Did you make it up here to Fairbanks?
Shooting will come back. For now, go spoil your Bride.... A Happy Wife is a Happy Life.

It's fall, and love is in the air ! Feel sorry for the other folks on that cruise, what with the elk bugles coming from a certain room at all hrs of the night. Then, who's gonna re-finish all that rubbed and scraped up furniture ? The big smelly stain on the carpet ? LOL goes in here.

I've already told Callshot I would help him move his safe, first we can move his guns to my safe to make things lighter, then we can get his safe up the stairs & onto the trailer. See, no problem, we'll get him moved, no problem! He seems to be balking at some of my suggestions! What he doesn't know is there's still one more surprise for him!!!!

Congrats to both of you. From what I have read here from folks you needed some adult supervision. Remember the correct answer is "yes dear". Jeff

If I was anywhere near, I'd be glad to lend a hand. Hopefully there'll be another Soda Springs event in 2016!

Sorry I missed you a few weeks back while I was out in your beautiful country. I sure enjoyed meeting Dick and riding around his back roads. Good luck to you and Your new Bride.

Once you get settled in,,, I'm sure you'll get everything moved & in place. If I could,, I too would be glad to help you move the heavy stuff. But,,, if I recall, sixshot has some stout youngun's & grandsons,,,,,! Enlist their assistance!

It all happened yesterday. I finally got to go back to my house. We boxed up,all the contents of the safe and took all the rifles out etc. my youngest son came over and we put the piano dolly under the safe and moved it out to the front door. I backed the truck up to the door and Dick and another friend got it into the truck. I drove to Pocatello and 6 of us got it into the reloading room and set back upright. Dick was one that helped until it was completed. I felt quite relieved. I was quite worried because it could have been a fieasco, but all went well and the job is done. Thanks to all those who helped. The only bad thing is that my new wife now knows just how many rifles and handguns that I have. I'll have to work at calming her down for a while. Steve

Glad to hear you got it moved. I have to move my main safe soon. I do NOT relish the chore. It has to go down a set of stairs,,,,,,,,! But,, I plan on enlisting a few strong back, weak minded souls to assist. I'll be removing the guns before they arrive just to keep from scaring them. And I'm sure your new wife knew you enjoyed shooting & all long before she agreed to put up with you,,, eerr,,, I mean marry you.!

Too bad nobodies figured out how to pump a safe full of helium or such...Wonder how much weight could be negated..All the technology we have, and moving a safe still requires 3-4 bubba's and a case of beer tied to the end of a stout stick.
