Some new micarta grips for my S&W N-frames

Just took delivery of these two pairs of grips, made by John Culina (aka "Kurac" on the S&W forum). I sent John a slab of antique linear paper micarta from Sheffield knife maker's supply and he sent back these grips. They're made in the old style "coke" profile and are quite comfortable. I think they look right stylish as well 
On blue, my pre-29 (1958 production) 44 Magnum:
And on stainless, my 624: (note, the grips are nearly identical in color and shape; but the way the light hit when I took this picture makes the grips appear "warmer" than the 44 Magnum pictures)
A look at the "coke" profile:
I can't say enough good about Culina's operation. His wife, Jennifer, handled all of the communication via email and phone; she was prompt with her answers and shipping was very fast. John's workmanship is excellent, and I'm grateful he was willing to work with micarta as there aren't many custom S&W grip makers who do so, or who have reasonable turn-around times. Now if only I could get ahold of a slab of the old Westinghouse micarta...
