The rather massive 9.5lb CZ 550 .416Rigby alongside my new Ruger 77 Hawkeye .338RCM. The little hammer sports a 20" barrel and comes in at a dainty 6lbs 15oz. CDNN was blowing these out for $500 and I had to grab one. I don't know why they didn't take off. I know they don't actually equal the .338Winchester with handloads but equaling the .338-06 in a 20", 7lb short action rifle is pretty friggin' impressive. I've ordered an NECG peep sight and patridge front sight but will probably scope it with a Leupold 1.75-6x. I've never taken many rifle pics so I decided to snap a few this afternoon, using a new oil tanned hide I'm going to make some bags from as a background. Also shown with an RSI .250Savage and a MKII Standard .270. You can see how much bigger the CZ is.

That's a neat little rifle! Eager to hear how it shoots. I think you got a great deal on it!
By the way, the stock on the CZ or gorgeous !

Nice rifles! I had thought hard about getting the little RCM myself but in the end talked myself out of it as I just don't like such short barrels for looks. I understand its handier and velocity loss is overrated. If it had 2 more inches of barrel, I would already have one.

I would've preferred a little more barrel and could have ordered a 22" but it didn't have sights. It could've had a 24" and not ruin the handling. It's a fairly light contour for the bore size. It would be a neat little mini-express rifle with a quarter rib and a couple folding leaves.

I'm a huge bolt action fan, & while I've never posted pics of my CZ's I have quite a few CZ rifles all but one semi auto 22 mag are bolts... my newest is one of the new carbines with the single set trigger, in 7.62 X 39, & that is a real shooter... every bit as good as my older 223 & 22 Hornet CZ American's ... it's been several years ago now, that I almost bought a 550 in 416 Rigby ( back then the rifle was the same price as 4 boxes of ammo ) now I have a custom built 416 Rigby... but regret not buying the 550, as I think they are incredible rifles... the pictures of your bolt rifles look awesome... thanks for posting

Gotta love the magnum CZ's. I had a 550 in 375 H&H and it was a soft-shooting, very accurate rifle.

The 416 Rigby is a great round as is the CZ a fine rifle though I have no use for a set trigger on a large bore. I had this Dakota for years then decided I wanted something "simpler" so sold it and went with a Win M70 416 Rem that I tweaked a bit. I have the predecessor to the CZ in a BRNO 602 that is chambered in 375 H&H. The old ones are a fair bit leaner than the current ones. The Dakota, The Winchester, The BRNO,
