Wow, terminal ballistics throws a curve! It sure got the job done, though!

I've always liked Nosler partitions... expensive for practice, but worth every penny on the hunt

I had a 150gr Partition do that exact thing on a cow elk I shot years ago with my 270. Double lung hit, she went 125 yards or so was all but didn't leave a blood trail, something that was very concerning at the time because what I thought was one of 5 or 6 elk bedded in the aspens was actually one of 150 elk that scattered everywhere at the shot. Hard to track a specific elk in the snow when her track mixed with the rest of the herd. I have always felt here in Colorado that a bullet that doesn't exit has failed, I know will argue with me, but here I want an edit hole everytime.

Wonder if Nosler will ever make partition handgun bullets again?

The proof is in the BBQ. A suggestion, try apple butter based sauce, less acidic, penetrates the meat better. Burp.
