Watching an episode of Rockford Files today and they had the old bad guy in the helicopter chasing Rockford in his car. Rockford had a passenger and Rockford says to him "What's the matter with that guy, he's going to kill us"?
So the chase goes on and sure enough the helicopter winds up smashing into something. Someone tell me, how is a helicopter supposed to stop or make a car crash. What can they do but buzz by close to the car. Surely the copter is not going to run into the car in any way and risk crashing himself.
It's just so stupid when they show those chases like the car is really in danger, yeah, right.

Guess we've all seen chopper/car chase scenes on various TV shows. Have wondered too. Unless someones shooting from the chopper, the chopper and occupants are at the greater risk.

It's t.v. Take it for the entertainment it is or turn the channel.
