Chad, that 500L is becoming a classic round here. We may have to opt for some CCH and engraving when its ready for a refinish.....

Thanks 2 Dogs, I am very proud of it. As for needing a refinish it's getting there. All the blue is worn off the back strap, you can see the blue gone where each finger sets on the front strap, the muzzle and front of the ejector rod housing are worn through. The part that bothers me the most is the top and top corners of the front sight are bright bare metal and I must smoke the sight to shoot my best.

There was a time when we would drink a "group tightener" at lunch to improve our shooting...... Never tried smoking sights Bet they were hard to light..

That's real nice Ron. There's a local shop that has one for sale, only with wood grips. It's a beauty and feels great... and I really don't like Redhawks.

Just had a 44 Redhawk carry go for $581 on auctionarms. Ron That's real nice Ron. There's a local shop that has one for sale, only with wood grips. It's a beauty and feels great... and I really don't like Redhawks.
