I was just thinking the same, I've got a 454 Alaskan and would love a slightly longer tube in 480.

I'll keep that load on file as it sounds moose, bison, and anything else are properly allergic to it!

started out as a 9" target grey... That would look pretty cool with an Ultradot on it !

I put an Ultradot on my 5-inch .500 Linebaugh SRH. It worked exceedingly well!

With a new 480 SBH here, am starting out with the Hornady 325gr XTP. This will get me hunting firstest, fastest. Also break in the bore some too. Am now at 25grs of IMR 4227, but using CCI300 primers. Recall from when I used this powder in early '80's we used mag primers, but looking in Speer #10 manual, heck, we used mag primers for most things, 44mag and up. So,,most of my data has the WLP being used. The way to go ? The CCI350 needed ? Have them here. The WLP I'd have to go look for. Over the yrs seems we've stepped back from the use of mag primers except for the h110/ww296 and such. Your thoughts ? The CCI300 seems to be doing ok.. colder weather issues ?
