Howdy all, I just obtained a 357/44 B&D cylinder for an old model 28 S&W. I have always wanted to try one of these calibers. Anyhow, I got dies and am going to reload for it. There is custom brass available for $56/50 pieces (currently on back-order). Is re-sizing 44 mag brass feasible? Or does it not work out? I've got thousands of 44 mag brass. Also, if you do reload for this, any favorite loads you can share? Thank you all.

This might help. I have never loaded the smith & wesson data. I would use jacketed bullets with a good CANNELURE if you go that route. I like using the 358156 in a cast bullet department.

I have a 357/44 encore barrel and a puma .44 that was converted to a b&d. Interestingly last months issue of handloader mag featured an 357/44 B&D on the cover and had a great article on it. I can take a pic of the load data and post it for you later.
