That thing might keep up with what I'd like to cast for a while. But I'd have to get a bunch of Miha's molds all over again. Double cavity vs 4 cavity, and then modify them. Still,,,, a heck of a machine.

Me & a friend have one of those Magma casters although ours isn't the same model. Still it will do 500 bullets an hour with a 2 cavity mould & its a one hand operation. You have to use Magma moulds because of the little levers shown in the video, although I think there is one or two other types of moulds that can be modified to work on these machines. If you do a lot of casting this is the raspberries! The one & only thing I don't like about ours is that all our moulds are bevel base style, not the best for revolvers.

There are videos on your type of hand caster. You can convert it to air operated and make auto cast.

One revolution churning 16 bullets is pretty good for six gun fodder. It would get pricey to fit with custom molds as there's 8 of them. Dick, I've customized mine (the molds) for my Freedom Arms. So, weighted a little on the heavy side, gas checks, crimp-to-nose about .395" at max. Most with meplats that are pretty much WFN proportions. If you want a sample let time know.

The Master Caster is a killer machine for the bullet caster with deep pockets. Bought mine used with a bunch of bullet molds and a star sizer before the big no ammo frenzy. The Magma web sight used to talk about sending them steel molds to be converted to work on the magma machines. Lead for these things?.. Takes a deal on a ton to make you even blink! I cast linotype ingots and lead ingots.. When it is time to cast bullets I do a ratio X lead to Y linotype. Let's me easily vary the ratio and then top off the pot during the casting session.

That chap covering the pot brings back some of the reason I hesitate to cast. Though lead doesn't vaporize until some temp above the setting of a casting machines, that putrid smell has a way of just lingering in the air. Ideally, doing it outside if you don't have neighbors near, or under a ventilation hood, will help. When I bought my Master Casters (not the big commercial Bullet Master in Buckheart's vid) I made some modifications to it to speed things up. But that puts one in a bit of a predicament too. Succeeding in streamlining one part of the bullet making only highlights inadequacies down the line. You have a bucket of bullets that by themselves are unusable. You gotta size them. And unless you've spent $6,500+ on a commercial-level sizer, it's gonna take a while to calibrate your equipment to ensure lube is applied correctly, and to, one by one, turn that trough of lead into usable bullets. If you like your bullets with a gas check on the shank, that's always a manual process. Going through this process allowed me to appreciate the commercial casters out there. They work long hours under pretty rough conditions to maybe make or support a living. Dick, I should have been a little more clear. I gave basic guideline to bullet mold fabriactor, Tom of Accurate Molds, for my FAs (all calibers except 41)--as well as a 512. I didn't mean to imply that I somehow managed to alter the design of the Magma mold myself. (Just a pic not a video)
