A gentleman I've flown round these last few years gave me his knife a while back. My gift. I'm guessing this one is legit, out of a shop in France I'm told. it was gifted to him from someone, well, from someone who doesn't usually get fakes as gifts. I'd like to gift in kind. It was a really cool gift and I'd like to find a small-shop, handmade, knife to gift in return. A typical drop point type knife is what I'm looking for. Fixed blade. 3-4". Anyone have a minty one lying around? Thanks.

A beautiful Laguiole. That looks like the real deal to me, the import versions are usually of much lesser quality. A fine French blade.

That's the one I couldn't remember.
I'm a Dozier guy for a working knife.
Laguiole is really the place where that style of knife was originated. Many makers...all are legit. Some better than others.

Just wanted to say that Andy (tuskbuster) and I traded some emails and he had my knife enroute to me before funds were heading his way. Gotta love it when business can be done with trusting honorable folks on both ends. Thanks.
