I got bored this afternoon. Bought a flat top .44sp with a 5.5" barrel and in the process was fondling another one I have with a 4 5/8" barrel. Trying to figure out what grip frame I want to use for the next build. Anyhow, as I pondered this I remembered Kings6 telling me to get out a file and try to fit the brass bisley grip frame I have. Many of you know the story of this frame. It has had more than one infamous owner from the forum. So, I gave cutting on it some a shot and surprisingly it fits pretty well. It certainly needs some professional help that is out of my league but I think it may work with this gun. With some grips I think Kings 6 had made...

Maybe I had better correct my previous post. Ron Power made some. I think were two piece. Correct me if I'm wrong. Again I maybe be dreaming but I believe Kings 6 posted pictures of a Ruger so equipped. Then maybe it was a Linebaugh brass gripframe.

Looks good Greg! You are right about the grips, they are box elder burl made by John Gallagher several years ago. I do not think Ron made any brass bisley frames, just Colt style 2 piece ones. John Linebaugh has made a run of brass bisleys and somehow Milt Morfison got ahold of the mold and made a trees worth several years ago. Most of mine came when Milt sold his stock but for the one on my JL 475 which John did.
