He was waiting on his vendors quite a bit last year on certain projects, but others seemed to turn around pretty quick. You'd probable have to talk with him about your specific project to get a better idea.
Tell him Mike Cole sent ya ;D

I like the idea of a switch barrel single action, might be kinda tough though.

What about a single action set up like a Dan Wesson with different barrels? You would need to change the ejecor rod setup also, but it would be different. Milt Morrison came up with a REALLY slick switch-barrel setup a few years ago. Takes only a couple minutes to change barrel & cylinder, and you have a whole new animal. Me, I'm still trying to catch-up with some of you guys. I'm waiting on a Linebaugh 4" octagon-barrel Bisley Vaquero conversion in .500 Linebaugh, very similar to Lloyd Smale's. Dustin was building the gun, but after I had my heart attack in January, John decided he wanted to have a hand in my gun as well, so he made the cylinder. Awfully thoughtful of him, and so now I'll git me a nice Linebaugh collaborative effort!

I am about to start a 2 gun project involving blued S&W N-Frames that will have 5" barrels in 44 Mag and 45 Colt, Keith Brown fancy walnut Roper grips, narrowed/smoothed triggers and narrowed thumb piece all re-colored by Turnbull. Just this past weekend I landed an 8 3/8" 45 Colt barrel for $35 at a gunshow in Roseville California that was my final piece to acquire. Now to figure out who to send the project to...

Hey Boxhead! You want to swap that 8 3/8" 45 ribbed barrel for a 6" ribbed S&W 45 colt barrel plus a little cash? If so, let me know. Thanks, Robb

I sent Mr. Bowen an e-mail on my idea over the weekend,....we'll see what he thinks.
As for switch barrels, I've got more than my fair share of Dan Wesson's and think I'm fine with those. I've never really thought of a switch barrel single action. Not sure if the extra effort is worth the expense. I guess if a person wanted one handgun to shoot with,....
