A while back I found some 275gr jacketed .44 cal bullets, I believe they were .429 on GB and have since shot them all up. They shot really well in a couple different guns. Now of course I don't see anyone that makes that weight in jacketed. Speer makes a 270 and Hornady a 265 but no 275 can I find. Anyone have any idea what those may have been? I have looked in the usual places but don't see anything.
Thanks!

I found 4 of the bullet in question in my shop. It appears to be an XTP, when looking at one sxs with a lighter one, they look the same. If anyone has an idea where I might find some please let me know. They are not listed on the Hornady site. Perhaps its a bullet they dropped. They sure shot well for me. Apparently from what I have read the bullets in question were an anomaly. Seems there was a run of them sold in plain brown boxes and they were never listed on the Hornady site. I read where a few other shooters had some as did I, a box of 200, now all gone. So further searches for this bullet will likely be fruitless. So the next available option that I have also used is the Speer 270 Gold Dot. It too shoots very well and is currently also hard to find. I have done a fairly thorough search for some and come up empty handed. Anyone know where there are some for sale?

A bullet maker with the right point die could make whatever weight you want. At one time Corbin had a list of bullet makers that bought his dies and sold bullets. Weight is controlled by the bullet core and core can be soldered to jacket if bonded core is desired. I make bullets in several calibers but do not sell them.

Apparently, you may not be able to find what you used in the past. Maybe try the different & available Hornady bullet & see how it does?

Well it isn't that big of a deal, just thought if they still existed it would be neat to find some. I will keep looking for the Gold Dot 270 and in the meantime Midway had a good deal on some Nosler 300gr JHP's so I ordered a box of those to try.
