1) REGULAR MOON CLIPS WILL NOT WORK. TOO THICK. RUGER MOONS ARE 3 FOR $14.95 PLUS SHIPPING. I ORDERED 18 FOR $102 SHIPPED. 2) THEY ARE "SPRINGY" AND ACCEPT .460 ROWLAND AND .45 WINMAG EASILY. 3) BOTH CARTRIDGES WILL CHAMBER. I AM NOT, REPEAT, NOT SAYING THEY SHOULD BE FIRED IN THE REDHAWK CYLINDER.

Thank You Mr. Taffin I appreciate this. Great Info. I would not be surprised if Ruger were to produce a disclaimer on this. I do look forward to reading your Range report. Thanks again.

Thanks, John. I'm buying a bunch of moon clips today. My experience with moon clips has been that they get lost get bent vanish into the haze at an amazing rate. I've loaded 255-gr hard cast bullets in .45 Auto Rim but always kept the velocities relatively low since I was running them out of various and sundry 1917s as well as modern S&Ws. Look forward to your range test!
BTW, was heart-broken not to see you last week!!!
