One of you cast boolit gurus aught to try and come up with some ideas for a HP cast boolit design for the .257 Jackrabbit.
By the time Miha gets to it we may have some guns......

If I do this, how many of you guys are going to sign up??
We will need at least 20 people to commit to posting in the thread that they would purchase said mold.
I would propose a 60 grain bullet, like the very popular and accurate 115 grain 32 caliber MIHA but scaled down. This should be available in both GC and plain base versions. Of course, we will need both hollow point and solid cramer designs.
Speak up, or forever hold your peace.....

If you're going to build one of these guns you will need to cast your own bullets, there are not a lot of .257 cast bullets available on the market. For this gun a cast hollowpoint make perfect since, you're not shooting deer with it just vermin so a super destructive soft lead hollowpoint would be the cats meow and the heavy 32 bullet Fermin speaks of is one hell of a bullet. Just saying

any idea how much these would cost in a group buy??? my retired buddy is in a mold building frame of mind right now, if they are too expensive, but I wouldn't mind jumping in, if they end up reasonably priced... either way it would be something else to shoot in my 257 Special

Like Hoover always says, these molds are a bargain at twice the price.

A Mihec 60gn 257-640? That would be the same profile as the 314-640 mold.
Sorta like the Ideal 25720.
I'd buy a couple....

I am sure Veral Smith at LBT would make a small run of these for you guys, they would be solid nosed only but no one makes a finer mold in my never humble opinion.

I've never honcho'd a group buy buy if a fella' started a group buy discussion there may be more interested.
I think that's the way to get them started, in addition to contacting Miha.

Bumping this back up to the top. Any more interest?
I found a 257420 Lyman GC mold at Mid South Shooters supply and ordered one myself, but a 640 design HP would be cool beans for the 257 Jackrabbit.
